Our Bootleg Bar has the same feel of a private but open, friendly and welcoming. The feeling you get when you know you're bending the rules at The Bootleg Bar.

The Bootleg bar is a Speakeasy which is an establishment that illegally sells alcoholic beverages. Such establishments came into prominence in the United States during the period known as Prohibition (1920–1933, longer in some states).

During this time, the sale, manufacture and transportation (bootlegging) of alcoholic beverages was illegal throughout the United States.

It is believed that the term "bootleg" originated during the Civil War, when soldiers would sneak liquor into army camps by concealing pint bottles within their boots or beneath their trouser legs (hence the name "bootlegging").
